Previous Shows
Since its creation in 2004, EverAfter Theatre Company has toured the following shows:
Home (2005/6)
Home is built from a collection of true stories collected from time spent by
the cast with homeless people. These stories are interwoven together during the play, showing a variety of experiences of the homeless
people, each reflecting different sides of life on the streets, hope, tragedy, joy, sorrow and so much more.
Through their experiences, the show wrestles with many of the big issues of life which affect us all including faith, love, laughter, forgiveness and life after death.
Amongst others you will meet Lukas who is eternally optimistic, Fiona fighting drug addiction, Adam trying his hardest to give up hope, Rick who finds a new life in a surprising way, Tony who is caught between tragedy and hope and Little Ronnie who is never seen without polished shoes and a tie.
'Home' is both hard-hitting and hopeful; full of humour and humanity, it is a piece of theatre which not only entertains but also challenges perceptions, breaks prejudices and asks the question of us all, 'what does it really mean to be homeless?'
Home toured twice, October - November 2005 and February 2006. Read reviews and audience comments on the Press/Public page. As well as churches, the first tour of 'Home' visited secondary schools and homeless shelters.
